Estelle Danvers, driven by the idea that art in general, and dance in particular, only exists through sharing, naturally turned to the youngest to transmit her passion, whether or not they practice dance themselves.

Transmission has always been important to Estelle, who makes sure to regularly offer the widest possible audience the opportunity to come and discover the company's work, in the form of masterclasses, open rehearsals, spontaneous exchanges, a way also to introduce the dancer's work, which is often overlooked.

Children are a particularly fascinating audience, still in a state of wonder and extreme curiosity, often judicious observers of any proposition.

It is therefore one of the Company's important missions to bring children and the general public into the artistic world and towards dance in particular. Each time, their pertinent questions and remarks are axes of reflection for our future work.

THE CHILDREN'S BOLERO

Ravel's "BOLERO" with children, a solo dancer and an actor, allows us to approach dance, theater and voice, around the theme of Living Together. The children participate in all aspects of the show: creation, dance, theater, costumes. The culmination is a performance at school with the children and their parents. Teachers are also involved in the development of the project.

The binary rhythm of the Bolero is both very modern and appeals to the senses in an instinctive way. It is a piece about vibrating together, social relations, the group / unity, the meeting, the whole / the different, repetition, the word, the music, the movement. The usual interpretation of the Bolero is a central elected official who influences the group around. We reverse this idea: starting from the children's gestures, which the dancer takes up and declines. The dancer represents the link between music, the word, the lyricism, the children and the universe.

This piece particularly echoes the children's questions: how to exist alone and in a group? How to contribute to the group and find one's place in it?

What is also interesting is to touch several of the children's senses: sight of course, hearing, touch, which gives rise to emotion.

The actor reads a text based on the rhythm of the musical work. These sentences will serve as reference points for the children throughout the performance and will have been prepared with their teacher at the beginning of the creation, always on the theme of Living together.
